Location: Holm, which is a den in the utmost north of Germany
Again: if anybody is interested to meet me at my place first at Thursday for a bbq and ride toghether to the meeting on Friday - take this for an invitation.

I didn't make it last time but maybe this year I can even take the Kat. Hope the weather won't be as cold (as people reported it was) though. ;)

Impossible for me to take that thursday of but friday and saterday i can.
I think I will drop by on saturday in Holm.
Plan is to leave here on Friday and end that day somewhere in Sleswig-Holstein in some hotel so I can meet you all on saturday on time for the ride.
All depending on the weather off course.
Will let you know here what is what...

Hi Pedda,
Arnout and me booked a Hotel in Jevenstedt for Freitag and Sammstag.
Not sure if Peter is able to join us, he'll know later this week.
We want to make as many km's Off-Autobahn so Jevenstedt was a good place halfway.
So we'll see you Saturday and this time we will be on time for the ride. ;)

Seems it wasn't easy finding an affordable hotel in Schleswig-Holstein though that still had rooms available that weekend.. Had no idea it is such a popular holiday destination.. (Or are they all going to the Treffen? :D )

A good option would 've been a bed in Denmark, just behind the border. Much nearer than what you have now. :-\

Geen problemen met de Gixxer, hooguit dat groene lampje wat knippert als je richtingaanwijzer nog aanstaat dat het niet doet, en de stuurdemper is stuk.

Goeie vraag.. Ik had oorspronkelijk iets in het N/O van NL in gedachten, maar de eerdere optie Soesterberg (https://goo.gl/maps/JHsCB) lag in principe ook perfect op de route vanaf Rttrdm.. Zwaag is voor mij wel wat omrijden en bovendien moet ik dan door de ochtendspits van A'dam :( (als het mij idd lukt om vroeg te starten.. ::)
Aan de andere kant is het gezien je sleutelhonk wel handig om evt. laatste euvels of losgerammelde bagage te fixen, en kan ik meteen ook je nieuwe huis bewonderen.. ;)
Maargoed, wellicht is het handiger om e.a. verder via de mail af te spreken.. Heb met Danny ook al een begin-opzetje van een binnendoor-route vanaf Leer gemaakt..

Gedreven door weersvoorspellingen die weinig goeds beloven voor de vrijdag en zaterdag, en een naderende deadline om de hotelreserveringen nog kostenloos te kunnen annuleren, hebben we besloten om van de reisplannen af te zien en het Treffen dus niet te bezoeken.. :(
Sorry Pedda, but we decided we won't be going to Niebuell.. The weather forecasts have been promising a wet Friday and Saturday consistently, and we're not much looking forward to that.. Especially as we had a route planned along smaller roads, so a longer trip, which won't be much fun on slippery roads..
I hope for the sake of the Treffen the forecasts will prove wrong and/or the german Katana diehards won't be deterred by rain..

Om de motortrip-aspiraties niet meteen de kop in te drukken, zijn we nu aan het bekijken of we ons uitstapje niet gewoon een week kunnen opschuiven.. Een eigen Katana-lang-weekendje-weg dus.. Gedacht wordt aan het gebied rond de Moezel/Eifel en evt. het Motorhotel GuS als basis voor 2 overnachtingen..
Als je ook zin hebt om daar lekker een stuk te gaan sturen met je Kataan (of desnoods oldschool Soes), en het weer wordt nu wel goed, dan kan je natuurlijk ook mee..
Voor nu is er echter alleen nog even het idee, en moet def. opstart van het plan nog gebeuren..

In the end the weather was wet on Friday, nice on Saturday and Sunday.
Next Eurokat Rally will be held in Germany b.t.w.

I'm from part Ostfriesischer descent myself, but calling Hollanders "Friesisch" would be like calling all Germans Bayer..! :P
And yes, the memory of one wet Katana Treffen is more than enough.. ;) Sunday was very wet in the NL too..

Leuk hoor mannen, lekker rondje door de Eifel. Afgelopen hemelvaart en weekeind daaraan vast naar het Sauerland geweest. Was ook leuk.
Hopelijk hebben jullie het naar je zin gehad. Daan op de ES? Peter heeft z'n klapkat uit elkaar dus bleef er één kat over. Nog een vraagje hoe krijg je routepunten in googlemaps? Ik doe dat met tyre maar hoe krijg ik dat in maps?
